M3 – UAV Technology
Outline: The module examines the technological architecture of drones, their operational capabilities, and the ways they can be exploited for surveillance, transport, or attacks.
Learning Objectives:
Define UAV types and classify them according to their size and types (wing, VTOL, etc.).
Discuss technological evolution of drones: from single systems to AI-enabled, autonomous, and swarm-capable drones.
Explain UAVs and their respective capabilities and limitations.
Sketch payload delivery, surveillance, and smuggling operations to show potential misuse scenarios.
Methodology: Video, Multiple Choice Test (MCT), Simulated Incident Response (SIR), Briefing paper, Group observation.
