Dr. Jasna Lambert
Dr Jasna LAMBERT (PhD) is an experienced diplomat of the European Union, currently serving in Central Asia. Working for the EU since 2006, she has had a wide range of responsibilities related to strategising and implementation of EU policies, often with a special focus on conceptualisation and implementation of impactful public diplomacy.
Dr Lambert holds degrees from the universities of Oxford and New York, where she specialised in International relations, Global governance, and Diplomacy. She is also an academic, with extensive experience in training executives and diplomats and teaching at numerous universities, including as a Visiting Professor at the esteemed College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium. Her book ‘Public Diplomacy: Towards a European Voice in Global Dialogue’ was published in 2012 and has been a recommended textbook for students of diplomacy and international affairs.
Before involving herself in diplomacy, Dr Lambert was a prominent, award-winning journalist and international correspondent and was a consultant, trainer, and researcher working for the European Commission, World Bank, Princeton University and Freedom House.
Anja Tresse
Anja Tresse is a Programme Manager at the Kofi Annan Foundation, leading the work on Climate, Peace and Youth. She manages the Environment of Peace project, a youth-driven research project exploring how young people are affected by and respond to the interconnected issues of conflict, environmental degradation, and climate change. She also manages the Champions for Peace programme, which aims to strengthen youth resilience to social and environmental challenges across Southeast Asia.
Before joining the Kofi Annan Foundation in October 2024, Anja worked at the Principles for Peace Foundation, supporting peace efforts in the Bangsamoro, the Philippines, leading thematic work on Youth, Peace and Security (YPS), and serving as gender focal point. Previously, at Interpeace, Anja coordinated the Principles for Peace participatory process to develop a new guiding framework for more effective and inclusive peace processes. Anja has also worked at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, focusing on conflict and Sweden’s implementation of the YPS agenda.
Throughout her career, Anja has supported youth-led organizations and networks to enhance their impact at local, national, and global levels. She has facilitated youth consultations across various countries and regions, with a strong emphasis on participatory research, enabling young people to influence global discussions and policymaking on peace, sustainability, and social cohesion.
Anja holds a Master’s degree in political science from Uppsala University and a certification in project management from the Project Management Institute. She is fluent in Swedish, English, and Spanish. You can find her on LinkedIn.
