Mrs. Sian Hutchinson
Head, Global Programme on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE), United Nations Counter Terrorism Centre (UNCCT), United Nations Office of Counterterrorism (UNOCT).
Sian Hutchinson is the Officer in Charge of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT)’s Centre for Counter-Terrorism's Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) Section, leading the Office's Global Programmes on PCVE and Victims of Terrorism. Prior to joining UNOCT in 2018, Sian served with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, working on Counter-Terrorism and counter-insurgency in Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Asia Pacific. She also worked to implement the NSW Government’s CVE response for the Department of Premier and Cabinet, encompassing community resilience, intervention, corrections, and strategic communications portfolios.
