Mr. Bobir Tukhtabayev
Chief of the Relations with the United Nations and Intergovernmental Organizations in the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Paris.
- Dr Bobir Tukhtabayev has led UNESCO's relations with the United Nations System since 2021.
- Holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (Uzbekistan). He was a Visiting Research Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (UK), Uppsala University (Sweden), and University Kebangsaan (Malaysia), where he undertook post-graduate studies and research in political sciences.
- Has over 25 years of professional experience in international relations and multilateral diplomacy. From 2014 to 2019, he served as Deputy to the Head of the UNESCO Liaison Office to the United Nations in Geneva. From 2019 to 2021, he was Chief of the Europe and North America Department at UNESCO, dealing with the political relations with nearly 50 Member States in the region.
