Mrs. Safak Pavey Senior Adviser,
United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR),
Şafak Pavey is a Turkish diplomat, former Member of Parliament, and prominent human rights advocate known for her work on gender equality, disability inclusion, and migration. She served for several years with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, leading humanitarian missions across the Middle East and North Africa. A graduate of Westminster University and the London School of Economics, she has received numerous honors, including the International Woman of Courage Award (2012). Pavey continues her work on security, women’s leadership, and migration through various international initiatives, including the Women Leaders Forum in Brussels.
