Mr. Ibrahim Salama,
Former Chief of Treaty Bodies at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights
Egyptian diplomat for 27 years, Ibrahim Salama, also served the United Nations for 17 years as a senior manager of human rights mechanisms. Upon his retirement in 2024, he established the Human Rights Research and Training Centre at the British University in Egypt, where devis also the Dean of the Faculty of Law. Professor Salama is also associate Professor and Director of the Observatory of Human Rights at the UN, in the University of Ottawa.
