Mr. Gorden Simango,
Director Liaison Office of All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) to the African Union
Gorden Simango is Zimbabwean. As at 2025, he serves at the All Africa Conference of Churches, as Director of its Liaison Office to the African Union & Advocacy; based in Addis Ababa Ethiopia, a position in which he has been for past six years. He is passionate about amplifying voices from marginalized & faith communities to influence policy and decision-making. Gorden has worked at global levels, impacting global development policy, the international human rights discourse, humanitarian advocacy and relief.
For all his working career Gorden has served in faith based organizations only. Prior to his current employment, Gorden served as Regional Representative for the Middle for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for the ACT Alliance, based in Amman Jordan. And prior to that he served as Senior Programme Officer for Global Initiatives & for Southern Africa, at the ACT Alliance Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland
Gorden holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Africa (Double Major - Development Studies and Public Administration), a Master of Arts in Leadership and Management from the University of Zimbabwe through the Africa Leadership and Management Academy (ALMA), a postgraduate certificate in Law, a postgraduate diploma in Law, and a Master of Laws (LLM) all from the University of London. He earned his Doctor of Transformational Leadership in Entrepreneurial Organizational Transformation with Honors from Bakke Graduate University, Dallas, USA. Further, Gordon holds a Certified Mediator Certificate from Bakke Graduate University. In March 2024, he published a book, "Finding Excellence: A Practical Guide to Fostering Goodwill Dissent & Human Flourishing at Work," published by Westbow Publishers in the US.
