Mr. Finn Jarle,
Executive Director of the Oslo Center
Finn Jarle Rode, CEO of the World Heart Federation, Geneva, Switzerland, currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the World Heart Federation (WHF), a role he assumed in May 2025.
At WHF, he leads the organization’s mission to advance cardiovascular health for all through global advocacy, scientific engagement, and health equity initiatives. Before joining WHF, Mr. Rode was Executive Director of The Hepatitis Fund, where he successfully transformed the organization from a start-up into a globally recognized actor in the elimination of viral hepatitis. His leadership strengthened partnerships across sectors and enabled governments to implement national hepatitis elimination strategies.
He previously held the position of Executive Director of The Oslo Center, focusing on political advocacy and democratic development. Earlier in his career, he served as Global Director of Partnerships at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Geneva. He held various field leadership roles, including Regional Director for Eastern Africa and Country Director in Afghanistan and North Korea.
Mr. Rode brings over 25 years of leadership experience across the humanitarian, development, and global health sectors. He holds an MBA with a focus on organizational development and international finance.
